‘La Grande Bouffe’ leidde bij de eerste vertoningen tot zeer
uiteenlopende en veelal heftige reacties en is de reputatie van
shockerende schandaalfilm sindsdien nooit meer echt
kwijtgeraakt. Over de cultuurhistorische/psychologische betekenis
van deze film houdt prof.dr. Henk Hillenaar voorafgaand een
inleiding.
