      Deze nieuwsbrief verschijnt 1 keer per 3 weken: vóór de raad- en overlegvergadering met de agendapunten en ná de vergaderingen met een kort verslag.

       
     Kort verslag 

      van de raads- en overlegvergadering van 16 december 2009:

      ·            Overgang Ocean Ecosystems naar ESRIG

      De raad stemt niet in met deze organisatieverandering. Er zijn diverse bezwaren tegen. Het bestuur zal zich hierover beraden.

      ·            Rapport TNO-Deskundingen over de explosie in NB4 november 2008 en het Plan van Aanpak

      Het rapport van TNO kan niet een duidelijke oorzaak aanwijzen. De raad verzoekt om een apart Plan van Aanpak te maken naar aanleiding van de explosie, en een Plan van Aanpak met standaard protocollen. Dit verzoek wordt ingewilligd door het bestuur.

      ·            Onderwijsaangelegenheden

      -         Honourcollege

      De instroom tot het Honourscollege is beperkt tot 37 studenten. De selectie mag door de faculteit worden verricht.

      -      Numerus fixus

      Er is een numerus fixus aangevraagd voor LS&T. Daarbij is vastge- steld dat LS&T- en biologiestudenten niet kunnen wisselen voor hun volledige propedeuse is behaald.

      -      BSA

      Het faculteitsbestuur zal rond 15 januari een standpunt formuleren over het BSA. De personeelsfractie ziet hierbij geen onoverkomelijke problemen. De studenten hebben een aantalvragen. Zowel de personeelsgeleding als de studentgeleding zullen hun vragen schriftelijk richten aan het faculteitsbestuur.

      ·            Naamswijziging IWI 

      De raad stemt in met de naamswijziging van het IWI in Johann Bernoulli Instituut voor Wiskunde en Informatica (Engelse naam: Johann Bernoulli Institute for Mathematics and Computer Science).

      ·            Wijziging faculteitsreglement art. 24 lid 3

      De raad stemt in met de toevoeging van de basiseenheden 

      "Single-molecule biophysics" en "Materiaalkunde".

      ·          Samenvoeging Farmacie en Farmaceutische wetenschappen

      De raad stemt in met de samenvoeging Farmacie en Farmaceutische wetenschappen.

      This newsletter appears once every three weeks: before the council meeting containing the agenda and afterwards with a short summary of the meeting
     Short summary

      of the council- and consultation meeting of 16 December 2009: 

      ·            Transition of Ocean Ecosystems to ESRIG

      The Faculty council does not agree with this organizational change. The board will deliberate on this matter.

      ·            Survey of the TNO experts concerning the explosion in NB 4 November 2008 and the Plan of Action

      The survey of the TNO experts does not give one clear cause. The council requests for separate Plans of Action. 

      ·            Educational affairs

      -         Honourcollege

      The intake for the Honourscollege is 37 students. The selection of these students will be done by the Faculty. 

      -      Numerus fixus

      The board has applied for a numerus fixus for LS&T. The consequence of this will be that students of LS&T and biology will have to complete their propedeuse before they can switch from one to the other.

      -      BSA

      The Faculty board will determine his position with regard to the BSA on the 15th of January. Both staff members and student members will address their questions to the board on paper.

      ·            Changing of the name IWI

      ·            The Faculty council agrees with the changing of the name IWI into Johann Bernoulli Institute for Mathematics and Computer Science.

      ·            Change of the Faculty protocol art. 24 part 3

      The Faculty council agrees with the addition of the departments "Single-molecule biophysics" and "Nanostructured Materials and Interfaces" to the Faculty protocol. 

      ·           Joining of the bachelor education Pharmacy and   Pharmaceutical sciences

      The Faculty council agrees with this joining.
