Kort verslag
van de raads- en overlegvergadering van 17 juni 2009:
· Arbo/Milieu zorgstructuur FWN
De personeelsgeleding had een aantal opmerkingen over de A/M zorgstructuur, o.a. over de geconstateerde structurele overbelasting van personeel en de hiërarchische plaats van de facultaire A/M-coördinator. Ze verzocht het bestuur dringend de financiering van de A/M-ondersteuning in de instituten te heroverwegen. Het bestuur gaf aan bereid te zijn hierover na te denken. De personeelsgeleding, gesteund door de studentgeleding, stemde in met de A/M zorgstructuur met inachtneming van de genoemde kanttekeningen.
· Plan van aanpak n.a.v. explosie in NB 4
Op dit moment bevat het plan van aanpak nog geen duidelijke tijdsplanning. Het bestuur gaf aan dat dit te zijner tijd zal volgen. De personeelsgeleding adviseerde dringend om een externe deskundige in te schakelen om meer inzicht te verkrijgen in de oorzaak van de explosie. Het rapport over de explosie kan tevens gebruikt worden om het A/M-beleid verder aan te scherpen. De personeelsgeleding, gesteund door de studentgeleding, stemde in met het plan van aanpak nadat het faculteitsbestuur een extern onderzoek heeft toegezegd.
· Oprichting ESRIG (aanvulling op de raadsvergadering van 18 maart)
De faculteitsraad vroeg nogmaals aandacht voor de positie van Science and Society in ESRIG.
De studentgeleding verzocht het bestuur om te blijven nadenken over de mogelijkheden voor het onderwijs die ESRIG in de toekomst kan bieden. Het bestuur is daartoe bereid en ziet mogelijkheden voor een studierichting Energie. De personeelsgeleding, gesteund door de studentgeleding, stemde in met de oprichting van ESRIG.
· Concept besluit tot wijziging van het faculteitsreglement
De faculteitsraad stemde in met het concept besluit tot wijziging van het faculteitsreglement, met inachtneming van enkele opmerkingen.
· Procedure Basis Kwalificatie Onderwijs
De BKO wordt toegejuicht, maar de personeelgeleding waarschuwde voor extra werkdruk voor de docenten. Tevens moet het cursusaanbod afgestemd worden op de wensen van de docenten.
· OER- en ONT met bijlagen
De studentgeleding verzocht om volgend jaar de OER-en van Wiskunde en Technische Wiskunde van elkaar te scheiden. De faculteitsraad stemde in met de OER-en van ONT met bijlagen.

of the council- and consultation meeting of 17 June 2009:
· FWN environmental and work safety management system
The staff members had some comments concerning the environmental and work safety management system, such as the observed structural overworking of employees and the hierarchical position of the faculty A/M-co-ordinator. They strongly adviced the board to reconsider the financing of the A/M-workers in the institutes. The board indicated that they are prepared to reflect upon these matters. The staff members, supported by the student members, approved the environmental and work safety management system, subject to the mentioned comments.
· Plan of action as a result of the explosion in NB 4 (November 2008)
At this moment the plan of action does not contain a specified time schedule. The board indicates that this will follow in due time. The staff members strongly recommended that an external expert be brought in to obtain more insight into the cause of the explosion. The report on the explosion can also be used to further highlight the policy of environmental and work safety. The staff members, supported by the student members, approved this plan of action after the faculty board had promised an external enquiry.
· Establishing of ESRIG (supplement to the council meeting of March 18th)
The faculty council requested, once again, attention for the position of the Science and Society group in ESRIG. The student members requested the board to consider about education with respect to ESRIG. The board is willing to do so. They see a possibility for a major course Energy is the future. The staff members, supported by the student members, approved the establishment of ESRIG.
· Concept decision to amend the faculty regulations
The faculty council approved the concept decision to amend the faculty regulations, subject to a few comments.
· Procedure Basic qualification education (BKO)
The BKO has been applauded but the staff members of the faculty council warned for extra workload for the lecturers. Also the courses on offer should be geared to the wishes of the lecturers.
· OER-en ONT with enclosures
The student members have requested that next year the OER's from Mathematics and Technical Mathematics be separated. The faculty council approved the OER's of ONT with enclosures.
