Assignment description (main question/ job description/ presentation of
results)

Mission:
Nike currently has a number of retail concepts operating in the European
geography, these are as follows: factory outlet, Nike stores (including
concession, airport, and shop in shop format), Women’s store, and Nike
Towns.
For each concept Nike has a set opening package of fixtures, mannequins,
consumable supplies (bags, hangers, office supplies) which are
specifically produced and stored inline with a new store opening
forecast plan.
This project is to review the current supply chain model for the
fixtures and mannequins which Nike sources as part of its multi million
euro store investment program. With the assistance of the senior
sourcing specialist, interview business owners, finance teams and
vendors. Work on data and create a model which can be implemented to
ensure maximium ROI of Nike assets, minimize supply chain costs and
create great flexibility and ability to react quicker to changing
markets and new concepts.

Responsibilities:

·Financial analysis of data relating to storage and call offs of
fixtures and mannequins. Working with existing supplier reports, country
call off data, ledger reports and space planning information

·Interviewing internal customers from retail project management group,
retail finance, accounting and procurement

·Be involved in supplier discussions with senior sourcing specialist for
retail. Support processing of data and develop an understanding of TCO
modeling and vendor management.

·Create a final report summarising the process undertaken, current
situation and potential future model. Identify scenarios, pro & cons and
potential implementation plan. A TCO model should also be developed.
Final report will be presented to senior management for approval

Requirements:

Education: Studying MSc degree in Supply Chain Management / Logistics,
looking for a student who needs to write the thesis.

Languages: Fluent in English, both written and spoken, is essential.

Other: Good knowledge of MS Office applications, specifically in Power
Point and Excel
