Dear All,

please log out from the LWP by the end of the afternoon today (August
the 19th, 2010).

We are currently taking the LWP to the Johann Bernoulli Institute, and
users transferring their files from the old fileserver to the new LWP
fileserver in some cases see a lot of FS errors while doing so.
I therefore want to upgrade the CIFS software on the fileserver, tonight
after 19:30.

Previous maintenance on the CIFS software has -unexpectedly- been
remarkably uneventful to our users, but there is a chance that something
does go wrong, and in that case I want to make sure no data loss occurs
by having everybody logged out.

Because I want this change at such short notice, this mail reaches you
via the nonstandard communication channel of the LWP userlist and
private mail.

We regret causing you inconvenience.
